Regarding mail in ballots, I do see why it will undoubtedly confuse some people, resulting in votes getting tossed.

It's not super super confusing, but at least in Ohio (and Pennsylvania too) you fill out your traditional ballot, put it in a privacy envelope, fill out the outside of it as well and then put that sealed envelope in another mail in envelope for transportation.

More than a couple people are going to put their ballot directly into the mail-in envelope and send it.
