Nike makes the Kyrie basketball shoe that isn't bulky and has a really nice look. There are multiple models and hundreds of colorways.

Some can be loud but there are a bunch that are more subdued.
Those are the first ones I though of though they're not like Chucks or Vans. They're a much more modern sneaker but with that you get better foot support in the arch and ankle as well as other improvements that make sneakers more comfortable today.
