Theresa does that with me all the time. She mentions some 80s band I think I never heard of and once she plays a song I know them.

I listened to everything in the 90s. I listened to every alternative and rock band as much as I was listening to hip hop.
I listened to hip hop way more than most white kids and it's clearly been my genre of choice since I was in junior high school but I love rock music a lot and was all into whatever was around.
