It's pretty easy to say "oh, there's no social pressure to vote for Obama... he's obviously right and the best man for the job! Duh!"
"There's lots of pressure on Republicans because you have an incumbent president with some of the lowest approval ratings in history, not because the Dems nominated a black dude."
Yes, absolutely agreed. Iraq, the economy, Dubya... yes, these are all components of the pressure. The "racism" aspect is just a part of it.
