"I'm disappointed Soundgarden doesn't resonate with you all the same way it resonates with me because I found them to be important and special".

and not, say, "My appreciation of Soundgarden has been invalidated by your opinions and now I'm angry".

I'm just speculating, but that's where I'm at w/r/t Exile in Guyville for example.
