Tesla update the range on the Model 3 Long Range to 353 miles. The change to the car that increased the range? A new cooling pump.

It's called the Octovalve and it's a single pump that handles all the cooling for the battery and for the HVAC system.
No change to the battery size, chemistry, or design. Those changes will happen first with the Y from the German factory.
The Model 3 also got the black exterior trim and a new center console, and the trunk now has a powered lift gate.
You can get a better Model 3 (all wheel drive, more range, powered lift gate) than the one I bought 2.5 years ago, and do so for less money.
In another 2.5 years I expect the 3 to have the new battery chemistry and battery pack as structure design and a range over 400 miles
