In the first debate, Biden mentioned the fires in the Amazon, and said he would earmark some money to be sent here to help combat them, conditional to us using it to combat them.
Bozonaro, this fire-denying fuck, was livid with rage. He wrote a letter that this was not a commie corrupt government anymore and he would not be bribed, that this is an attack in our sovereignty.
Yesterday some US official said they would give us some funds if we didn't choose Huawei as the equipment provider for our 5G network (the options still is being technically evaluated by the telecommunications agency).
I guess I can sit down while I wait for another angry letter defending our sovereignty and refusing the bribes, right?
(Obs: which may or may not be to say that Huawei is a sub-optimal choice, of course.)
