It’s not a Singer tax thing if Singer’s not moving no matter how hard the NYT tries to push that angle.

If he lives in NYC, he’ll be taxed in NY.
There will be benefits to other employees that are telecommuting because NY taxes you even if you never set foot in the stare of you are telecommuting for a NY employer. I’m not aware of another state that is that aggressive (maybe MA?) and there are cases winding their way through the courts now.
