FWIW, the rumor comes from a never-heard-of-it-site called Binged. So, grain of salt. Do streams want to buy “No Time To Die”? Sure.

A factor to consider here is that Coming 2 America got $125 million to go straight to streaming. No Time to Die cost $250 million.

And I don't understand why Netflix will pay so much (even the $125m). It isn't like they will get that money back in new subscriptions

Right, I think it would be more of a flex for Netflix and possibly a goodwill gesture toward subscribers after a tough year.

Yeah. I would be kind of disappointed not seeing it in theater but also I won't go to a theater in a long time -- nm

What would the number need to be? This is at least a 750mil dollar project

I’m strongly of the opinion that MGM needs the money fast so they might take the highest bid even if it doesn’t cover all their costs. -- nm
