The latest episode of that Whistleblower podcast lays it all out and it’s pretty convincing. The NBA under David Stern was fixed.

The evidence is pretty damn. Days after the FBI informed the NBA - as a courtesy - the NBA announced a new TV contract worth billions, a year before the old contract was due to expire, which was highly usual. Less than a month later, someone leaked to the press that the FBI was investigating a referee, essentially ending the investigation. Some of the most egregious refereeing moments in the NBA under Stern weren’t under Donaghy but under a handful of other refs that Donaghy indicated were “company men”, refs the NBA directed to tip games in ways that were more favorable to the NBA’s finances.
I suppose the only reason we’re not all more outraged by all this is because we all just assumed that was the case and much of this simply goes to validate what we already suspected.
