I don't think that's legal? At least not announcing anything publicly unless there's a charge with intent to prosecute.
I don't know that shaming Trump harms him financially either; the creditors who have forgiven his loans and gave him money after he couldn't get it through normal loans must already expect to lose the money.
I could see him wanting to get out of town to dodge demands for his testimony, but he'd be giving up the Secret Service and immediately lose his ability to host at his properties. I just can't imagine he'd go that far rather than fight charges with lawyers fully believing he'd win.
