I've got some leftover cat flea-treatment, and I'm out of the dog dose. Is there any reason I shouldn't use the cat doses on the dog?

Seems like I could use 2 cat doses (for 10lb cat) on a 25lb dog with no problem ?

Thank you all - guess I'd better order some more dog doses :) -- nm

Are you *absolutely sure* that it is the same chemical? It may not be. -- nm

You have to be careful about that -- make sure they're the same type of chemical.

Ah, I'll check them. My friend buys dog doses and divides them up among her 5 cats, so I guess it works in some cases. -- nm

She shouldn't do that -- trust me on this. At least not without her vet's knowledge and advice. -- nm
