Good god, NOTHING IS WRONG if he doesn't win every fucking major. All the stories on him make me openly root for him to fail.
Responses:
I don't get the Tiger hateboner.

He's not firing well this tourney, yet NBC won't stop talking about how he's got a chance

If he shoots 2 more over he misses the cut. That said, I get it. If Tiger isn't in the hunt it's a few ratings points on Nielsen ratings.

There is precedence for him pulling off a comeback like this. -- nm

Yes. To make up 11 shots on 2/3 of the field at a normal course, you'd need to shoot about 63-63.

11 strokes back at the AT&T Pro Am is not nearly the same as 11 strokes back at a US Open course

He'd need to shoot about a 65 both days to give himself any shot.

no, the course setup is totally different for an Open and the field is better by an order of magnitude

If you think the US Open allows scoring like any other golf tournament, you're the one mistaken.

he could have missed the cut and NBC would still be talking up ways for him to come back and win the tournament -- nm
