Been watching this fascinating doc from the early 90’s, a kid straight out of college gets hired as a market exec at Columbia House and filmed it all

There’s a lot going on here. It’s just a kid with a super 8 camera so don’t expect quality production. But for the duration of his time there, he filmed everything. It’s crazy to me that straight out of college in New York City he gets hired as an executive. There’s a lot of inside stuff - and dirt - about how record clubs worked. A great slice of life of what New York in the 90’s as well as the music industry at the time was like. Although Nirvana comes up many times (he wrote the copy for the Columbia House mailer for In Utero), I don’t think he says “grunge” once, always calling them punk rock or alternative.
