Watch some of these NXIVM docs. Or there was a Netflix series where they explain stuff and they did one on cults. That's really what's happening

here. Qanon, stuck in the conservative media bubble, there is a brainwashing element to it. And I don't mean that pejoratively. Having seen these things, I'm actually sympathetic to it. But it's extraordinarily hard to break.
