It was just a blatant lie. Arguing that it gave the legislature new power to raise taxes without voter approval is just ridiculous. That's the way it is now. -- (edited)

And arguing that it would cause the legislature to raise middle class taxes is just absurd. The whole point is that it would allow them to raise upper income taxes without being forced to increase middle income taxes. The result is likely to be the requirement to increase taxes for middle income people because they don't have the option not to.
