When you can upgrade your trap, you'll have to plug away a bit to get the gold to do this.

As a bit of a "cheat" I d/l the mouse hunt tool bar (yahoo search engine) and for every three searches you do (I just make crap up) you get 1 piece of Super Brie (3 pieces total each day), not a huge cheat but it helps. They also have Kings Rewards and other things that will help you with free cheese, points, or gold through out the day.
The first couple of weeks were pretty much just grinding it out catching brown and regular mice but the more you advance you can get cooler traps, travel to different hunting grounds and catch cooler mice.
