You seem to think that without the context of liliiou's post, what you said would have been fine.

She has more balls than you because she flat out apologized and didn't try to defend what she said as misunderstood.

It's awful damn amusing to me that the shit you rail against being dumped on you would not be happening if you could just say "I'm sorry, I was out of line" without tacking on a "but" to explain why you don't think you were out of line.
