Since BLM has been around since Ferguson, where are you getting that it was just the message by itself that caused all those registrarions?

Ongoing protests get people organized by their very nature. That's your registered Democrats.
If you credit it to just the message existing, you're gonna make people think it's sufficient political participation to just bellyache on Twitter 25/7. :)
