In Uncle Frank, legendary actor Paul Bettany stars as the titular character, a literature professor at New York University. When his niece Beth (I Am Not Okay With This’ Sophia Lillis) moves from her small Southern hometown to the Big Apple to study there, she reconnects with him while also discovering, for the first time, that he’s gay and has been secretly living with his partner, Wally, for years. But when Beth’s grandfather (Frank’s father) dies, Frank is tasked with loading into a car and driving across the country to his hometown, where he’s forced to reveal the secret about the life he’s been living in New York.
