You really need to check out this Chrome Extension. Two mouse clicks and it is a new day.

Click on the extension icon to bring it up, then click on delete (trash can) to remove the cookie. Some may use more than 1, but I have not found any sites with more than 2.
Most sites have to be reloaded to get it to recreate the cookie which will now show this visit is your first.
