we are spending more on groceries since wfh, but both food (and to be honest, alcohol) costs have gone down tremendously. -- (edited)

we both NEVER did M-F breakfast/morning coffee at home. We rarely packed a lunch. If we snacked it would be something that we bought right then and there. And because we were always quite social, we would eat and drink out more often with friends, before or after theatre, movies, concerts etc...we are both saving a lot more as we just don't have these costs anymore. I also used to have to figure something out for dinner before evening rehearsals. That's just not the case these days.

However, our gas bill is going to be crazy high this winter as there will not be 50 hours out of the week where we won't require heat. Good thing we've saved so much on food and booze.
