The other CDC update: Revised list of long-term COVID effects.

CDC:Updated and expanded their statement on long-term effects of COVID-19, stating that “some patients can have symptoms that can last for weeks or even months after recovery from acute illness; even people who are not hospitalized and who have mild illness can experience persistent or late symptoms; multi-year studies are underway to further investigate”; commonly reported symptoms include fatigue, shortness of breath, cough, joint pain, and chest pain; more serious but less common long-term complications that affect different organ systems include inflammation of the heart muscle, lung function abnormalities, acute kidney injury, rash and hair loss, smell and taste problems, sleep issues, difficulty with concentration and memory, depression, anxiety, and changes in mood(NBIC Update, November 12, 2020, 8:27 a.m. EDT/CDC Update, November 10, 2020, 10:45 a.m. EST)
