There are 3 areas to check (that I know of)

1) Go to "Start, All Programs, Startup". Anything listed in there will start when Windows starts.
2) Go to Start, Run and type in "msconfig". That has a "Startup" tab with a long list of features that start with Windows.
3) There is also an area in the registry that specifies things to load during start-up. I don't recommend making changes there unless you know what you're doing and even then make a back-up copy first.
