LYC: My wife and I have been banned from playing Ikariam because we broke a badly written game rule
|
According to Ikariam, we have broken the following rules:
"I. Multi-Accounting
Each player is allowed to control no more then a single account per World (Server).
If two or more accounts are usually, occasionally, or permanently being played from the same network a GameOperator must be notified, without exception. In these cases the accounts will not be able to have fleet contact while on the same connection."
II. Account Sharing
* Each account is entitled to be played by a single player at a time, account sitting being the only exception.
They then add that a ban for multi-accounting/Account Sharing is a permanent ban, but we can start over. We just need to make sure we know and follow the rules.
So I pointed out them that that we are not a single player but two players in the same family, with colonies too far away from each other to really help each other out on a regular basis and that in all the time we have been playing, we have sent each other only one thing in all that time. I even said that I would let my place stay dark as long as Mrs. Havens can get her account reactivated.
Their response:
"Im sorry both you and wife cannot get the accounts back.As much as I wish it was possible.I cannot, you were multi accounting. Therefore you both received the same banable offense."
So now they have already acknowledged we are two separate people, yet they can't even give back one of the accounts.
So if you're looking to play Ikariam, make sure you read the rules entirely and make sure you don't play with anyone else in your home.
