it means 26,000,000 total XP (IOW, 6 million in addition to the 20 million total it took you to get to level 40).

XP you have already earned counts.

Therefore:
- If you are Level 40 and at 23 million total XP, you need 3 million more XP (plus meet the other requirements for Level 41)
- If you are Level 40 and at 50 million total XP, you have already earned the 6 million XP you need for Level 41 (but still need to do the other requirements for Level 41)

Ah! I stand corrected. My screen is just showing 6,700,000/6,000,000. I didn't bother to check what it took to get to Level 40. nm - ralph wiggum Nov 19, 16:51 1
