So, I'm enjoying Fallout 4. BUT, how the ever loving fuck did anyone ever figure out the power system without an electrical engineering degree.

I get "connect generator to item". That's easy. I get that some items need to be near power and not connected. I get that you can power lights in a house IF the house itself is connected.
But understanding which things to use to fucking connect the house? Had to find a tutorial because none of it is obvious.
Now, the one thing I cannot figure out is how to get power into a house to power things that require wired connections WITHOUT putting a generator inside the house.
Do they not have fucking outlets 300 years in the future?
Wires to house, outlets on walls, plug devices into outlets. See how easy that is? It's almost like real life!
Thus endeth the rant.
And if anyone can solve that generator outside, power required device (terminal, power armor display, etc), I'd be happy to hear how it is done.
