definitely file a formal complaint against the doctor. You don't have to sue to get him investigated, a complaint will do it. When my mom was in the ICU forever, her doctor never came around and we never got to talk to him, so finally I wrote out about 30 questions I had about her condition. He refused to have any communication with me and would only meet with my brother. My brother didn't know what to ask. My mom died. Hate them all still.
