my friend had an anti-hallmark thanksgiving yesterday. she had to go to her ex-boyfriend's place because her mom is dying and believes they're still

together. they were living together, she found out he was lying to her about a bunch of stuff, he was coming in at 6AM drunk. they got into a fight.. he called her some pretty horrible names, she, being the badass she is, threw him out the front door, rolled him off the porch. she let him back in just as a roommate since she's still unemployed and he's helping cover the rent... still doing his stuff, but it doesn't affect her in the same way now. he asks her to please come up to his mom's for thanksgiving because his mom really loved her and is actually dying. so she went up there to spend the night, in the guest apartment, where her ex slept on the couch, she on the bed. she's also a native woman, so thanksgiving to her, especially this year, is not a fun or nice holiday. she's such a nice person... i can't believe she did that.
