You all know I embrace my love of my Tesla, but it's on a solid foundation. This experience in England is why I'd still avoid other brands -- (edited)

The situation is similar in the US. Only Tesla has a fully (and getting better every month) charging network.

Each Tesla charging station has a minimum of 6 chargers. The average is over 8 and a couple have 40 to 50 slots. These types of stations are being built around the world as Tesla expands its reach with its vehicles.

It is rare to find a charger stall offline. It happens, but it's almost unheard of for an entire station to be offline.

People who haven't driven an EV have a real concern on how to charge away from home. That concern is very very minor with Tesla.

With any other brand you are relying on third parties to provide charge points and their stations are often a single or maybe 3 charge points. Whether they work with your car or even at all is always a question.

Until legacy builders take charging networks seriously their EV offerings are going to be at a disadvantage and could damage EV adoption as new owners are met with frustration as they travel.

My hope is that legacy builders get their shit together. I love Tesla, but if they are a monopoly, that's bad in the long run.
