Actually, you can. Take a pork tenderloin, make a sauce from soy sauce, hoi sin sauce, honey, cooking sherry and five spice powder, marinade the pork,

then grill it. (This is an adapted recipe - an authentic version would have red bean paste, which is still easy to find in an Asian grocers, but would not be standard in a supermarket the way hoi sin and soy sauces are)
Eat 2/3 of the pork, dice the leftovers and throw it into the rice.
Chinese barbecue pork is a very easy recipe.
