almost exactly this happened to my friend's partner the other day.

he's of Chinese descent, she's Austrian, their 2 y.o. is pretty clearly partly Asian (but has blonde hair). friend of a friend "yeah, it's a really nice neighbourhood, but their are just too many Asians moving in."

"oh not you, you're different."
not an Australian though, was a Swiss lady. I wouldn't say that was uncommon when I was in Switzerland, but the Swiss with that attitude don't usually emigrate.
