It's a form of brainwashing where the eventually are led to believe that they can't trust other information. That is the goal of disinformation

generally and these people are being fed a ton of it . . . by the President and his gang, as well as from foreign operations. It leaves them stuck in a bubble that uses fear, intimidation and the creation of a sense of belonging that keeps them stuck.
