Some difference, since news sites are ostensibly all reporting the same news and you can still get that for "free" (ad-supported, free access) many places.
This'll just create camps and divisions. Want to see WB stuff you'll have to subscribe to their service. Want to see Disney stuff? Another sub fee. Ditto Sony. Ditto the 3 networks.
Consumers will have choice, but not unlimited funds to pursue everything they might want. Where before they'd choose a Disney movie one weekend and a WB movie the next and in between watch shows from all 3 networks. Now they may only have a Disney sub and a sub from one network.
They might watch more Disney and more of that network, but that's actually LESS choice than they had before and that reduced choice is driven by the new sub model.
