ST Poll: What kind of audio do you have connected to your primary TV? Soundbar? Surround speakers? And how much have you "calibrated" it if possible?
|
I've been messing around a lot with mine. It's a 7.2 system but I only have 5.1 hooked up to it (L/R + center + surround + Sub). I was reading that all the speakers should be equal levels but after having done that it was way too loud in the L/R/surround for background music and sounds vs. speaking. I think I have it in a nice place now.
Of course the receiver is next on my list to replace so I can do 4K from all the things. Right now my 4K Fire stick is connected directly to the TV and then the audio is fed to the receiver via optical (IIRC)

I use the tv panel's speakers but for my next round I'd like surround to deal with murky audio mixes.

Have a cheap sound bar on the basement TV. Stereo is connected to family room TV but not always used. The rest (5) use the built in speakers. -- nm

At one point I had a 5.1 Setup via Optical which was pretty sweet. Ive debated a soundbar, but pretty much use tv speakers or headphones. -- nm
