Yes. I think he was all in on them because they were fully Operation Warp Speed. Pfizer and Moderna paid to develop their vaccines independently. . -- (edited)

Biontech (Pfizer's vaccine maker) was afraid they would lose their ability to decide when it was safe to be released. AZ accepted US funding to develop theirs. I think Trump would have forced them to release it before the election and it would have given him more bragging rights. Now we see if that had happened it would be a serious issue because it isn't working right. People who were accidentally given half doses are developing more immunity than those receiving the full dose.
