Back in 2008, WB picked the wrong guy for CEO. His name is Jeff Bewkes, and one of his early decisions was to push Alan Horn out in favor of younger blood.
Horn's replacement was Kevin Tsuijhara, who had been a theme park guy until a few years before that. If that name sounds familiar, he's the dude who had the sex scandal involving Charlotte Kirk. So, he ruined the DC Universe and then had to resign due to that incident.
Meanwhile, Disney has absolutely dominated the box office because they persuaded Horn to come out of retirement to run the film studio.
