yes its true there was a sea change of public attitudes towards sex, dress, morals, the movie industry was booming much like streaming, hell more so it was like the beginning of the internet. and...all...that...jazzzzzzzz
but
immediately following was crushing of communities of freed slaves who were getting it together, establishing middle class lives...suddenly the KKK attacks which today would compare to ISIL taking over a big chunk of Iraq and syria. Many of us have now heard about Tulsa and black wall street, but that happened in a dozen cities maybe more...remember the Donald's father (or granddad?) was arrested in NY for participating in the KKK riots in NY
I do believe that pogroms and explusions of jews from one region or another in europe also followed pandemics.
