In response to "What are the voiders thoughts about that part of the Roku / HBO Max deal involved the future plan for an ad supported tier of HBO Max? -- nm*" by JD

"ad supported tier of HBO Max" was a brain storming idea that WarnerMedia threw out when they were flailing around desperately.

It's not out of the question but it hinges on a couple of factors:

- How does HBO Max do now that they're on Roku/now that they have buzz from their theatrical movies going day-and-date?

- What share - if any - would Roku get from ad revenue?

I'd say if the day-and-date launch does poorly after 6 months, the ad-tier is back on the table. For right now, an ad-tier was just something they were pulling out of their ass as a possible suggestion like "What if we give everyone a blowjob?"
