Well, in contrast to yesterday's vacation policy changes, today we are getting 12/24 and 12/31, usually half days, noon close are now WfH days. At

least I won't have to take off 12/24 as a half day anymore because I was needed at church by noon and I can kinda swing that while WfH

Now I'm arguing with HR about my vacation balance because they are off a half day and I told them about this before and they didn't believe me.

But also, my boss told me post-christmas/new-years he wants to do the whole WfH when possible shift to avoid possible travel/infections coming into the office. Last time one of my guys took them up on it. My one guy who had COVID has back in the office now so I'm pretty sure he's tired of being home. My other guys is already WfH and the last guy is also more likely to come into the office.

There's no way I can have my whole team WfH. At least one person needs to be here. I have worked maybe 3 WfH days since March while others have done a lot more due to leave, policy, quarantine, etc. I'm tempted to say I'm doing WfH for the 2 weeks after the holidays just to take my boss up on it. Feels a bit bad to do that and not offer it to my team but I also can't have all of them take me up on it either. The one guy that is likely to use it just used it post-thanksgiving + is taking vacation this week and next. Is it petty to want him in the office and not give him the option?

rambling...
