Canadian Music Question: Is there a reason for a Mother Mother (re?)surgence.

I get most of my Canadian music by listening to The Verge on Sirius XM. They bill themselves as "The Verge is a Sirius XM Canada channel featuring new and emerging rock bands from Canada."

They play a decent amount of Mother Mother (who I really like). I was putting together a list of favorite songs for 2020 and was checking release dates. Their last album was release in 2018 which isn't too long ago, but The Verge will play songs by them from 2012 and 2008 that I assumed were newer releases based on what else the station plays.
