"B2: Ted Lasso - It's a show of well-written characterizations and as David said, much nuance. Stand outs are how they handled..."

I fully agree with everything you say. (spoilers)

As the owner, Rebecca experienced pure pain due to the fact that she gave so much of herself to a terrible person and, to a lesser extent, her constant mockery in the press.
She's lashing out the whole time, yet Ted relentlessly comes in for a hug each time. I was genuinely worried he would reject her when she asked for forgiveness, and I realized in that moment just how invested I was in both characters.
Rebecca was never a villain, just a wounded animal. Ted pulled the thorn out of the lion's paw with his innate decency. It's masterful storytelling.
