Brother's partner would normally come back down here for a bit after visiting his family but is purposely avoiding coming down here again

after seeing his family to protect my parents.
I don't love that he and my brother will be so close afterwards but that's unavoidable. Feels kinds selfish, but I don't see the need to add myself to the mix?
