2003: Here Comes The Fireworks Factory

This is the real breakout year for Canadian music this decade, with Metric, The Stills, Sam Roberts Band, Matt Good, Constantines, Stars, Kathleen Edwards, Pilate (later horribly renamed Pilot's Speed due to a lawsuit), The Weakerthans all having a major impact this year. The every-other-year Sloan album is a solid one, while we also get entries from The Trews, Hawksley Workman, Nelly Furtado's second album, Billy Talent (sigh, if I must). It's a banner year, and we haven't even hit the peak yet.
