I always tell people here that my FIL had a lot of kidney problems so if you have questions I may have answers. They may not be great answers but we had some terrible doctors and worked a lot of stuff out ourselves.
We're in a similar situation to you. My dad started chemo the week of Thanksgiving (that's why I got tested so I could visit before they went into total lockdown). Got the call Saturday that my grandma (his mom) was put on hospice due to COVID after an outbreak at her facility. Luckily he got to see her a couple of times this summer but I hadn't seen her since last Christmas. I'm trying to get ready to FaceTime with her right now.
And when I was trying to find a number for her best friend to let her know about the situation (cause I lost it) I found her obituary online. The funeral is in AZ tomorrow. Fuck 2020.
