Does anyone remember "Baa Baa Black Sheep", a TV show in the 70s starring Robert Conrad as Pappy Boyington? We got in an unusual donation through the -- (edited)

book drop this past weekend.
Some donated a large amount of books about aviation this weekend. Included was a copy of Baa Baa Black Sheep by Boyington. I opened it up and found it was autographed by Boyington. While a first edition, it was a seventeenth printing so I don't think it is worth any money.
However, I still think it is cool. If the director decides not to accept it for our Idaho collection (Boyington was from Idaho) then it generally goes to the Friends of the Library for their book sale.
They sell books to raise extra funds for the library; $1 for a hardback and $0.50 for paperbacks. If it ends up in that pile, I'll just throw a buck in the jar and take it home with me.
Also, somewhat offbeat, someone donated a whole bunch of books about Buddhism and vegetarianism.

My dad belonged to a military book-of-the-month group, and those were pretty much the only books we had in the house growing up.

Donated book collections are fun. People's interests are surely diverse. Finding $20 bills used as bookmarks is even more fun :) -- nm
