I liked the fireworks too. Even Chris Pine's big goofy grin like he'd never heard of such sky magic didn't bother me. Though it did raise the question why so many people were working earlier in the day... on July 4... in DC. :P
No, the fireworks were the least of the problems with that scene.
But I'd rather focus on the parts I did like. Like Kristen Wiig who really knocked my socks off.
