Missouri has an absurdly strict limit of 8 years in each chamber. It’s moved all of the power to lobbyists that have the institutional knowledge legislators lack. Plus everyone is looking for the next job by year 5 and many resign in year 7 for that job.
It’s a mess and a real problem.
