My brother tells me that the lockdown in Quebec has most stores shut down as well.

Only stores selling essentials like groceries and toiletries are open. And because big stores like Walmart selling all kinds of things, they have entire departments closed off ("With plastic," he said) so you don't end up shopping for an Xbox while you're out getting milk and toilet paper. This is so weird to me.
Also, you can just order any of this stuff online and have it delivered. It's just in-store shopping (and even curbside pickup) that's prohibited.
