It's a trade that makes sense for both teams. Cleveland needed to turn 1 year of Lindor into more value, they did.

Carrasco is what turns the package into a real value for the Mets.
Gimenez is underrated value wise, but he is a legit GG level shortstop, with the potential to be a decent, if unspectacular bat. Rosario has lost the sheen, but he was once the #2 overall prospect in baseball and is still only 25. Sure he's not likely to fulfill that potential, but it's not out of the realm of possibility that he's just a late bloomer. He could easily turn into what Jurickson Profar is now and that has value. Wolf and Greene are lottery tickets, but iirc, that's how the Indians acquired Carrasco to begin with.
